"Our schools deserve leadership that listens, advocates, and acts with heart."
I’m running for school board to represent the voices that too often go unheard, our teachers, staff, and students. I believe that when educators are supported, students succeed. That means prioritizing student safety and ensuring every school fosters social-emotional growth, so every child feels seen, supported, and ready to thrive. That’s why I’m committed to the following:
Representing Teachers for the Betterment of Student Education: Not just as professionals, but as the heart of our schools. When teachers are empowered, students benefit. I believe in advocating for educators so they can continue shaping the future with confidence, care, and the resources they deserve.
Equitable Education for All Students: Every child, regardless of background, should have access to a safe, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment. Equity means meeting students where they are and ensuring every classroom reflects the diversity and strength of our community.
Equality Among All School Employees: From bus drivers to cafeteria staff, counselors to custodians, every role matters. I will work to ensure fair treatment, respect, and opportunity for everyone who contributes to our schools.
Corina Medrano is a lifelong educator, proud Gadsden graduate (Class of 1967), and passionate advocate for our schools.
